How We Started
Panzer8 opened on Stewart's Road in Nine Elms with a straightforward idea: bring real Italian street food to South London without cutting corners. The name comes from the panzerotto -- a filled, fried pocket of dough that's been a staple of Pugliese cooking for generations. We took that as our starting point and built a menu around it.
Nine Elms was changing fast when we arrived. New flats going up everywhere, Battersea Power Station reopening, thousands of people moving into the area with nowhere decent to grab lunch. We saw an opportunity to do something different from the usual chain takeaways. Something with character. Something where the food is made by hand, to order, every single time.
Our kitchen runs on a few non-negotiable principles. The dough proves for a full 24 hours before we use it. The tomato sauce is made from San Marzano tomatoes, not from a jar. The mozzarella is fior di latte, delivered fresh. These aren't luxury ingredients -- they're just the right ones, and using anything less would defeat the point of what we're doing here.
Nine Elms, SW8
We're at 76 Stewart's Road, tucked between the residential streets and the main Nine Elms development zone. Vauxhall station is a ten-minute walk, and we're an easy stop for anyone living or working around Battersea, Stockwell, or the Wandsworth Road corridor. The area's grown enormously since we opened, and so have we -- from a small menu of panzerotti and pizza to a full range of Italian street food, sides, desserts, and catering for events.
What We Offer
Panzerotti
Our signature dish. Handmade dough stuffed with your choice of fillings -- from classic tomato and mozzarella to nduja and burrata -- then fried until golden and crisp on the outside, soft and molten inside.
Pizza
Neapolitan-style bases made with Italian flour, topped with San Marzano tomato sauce and fior di latte mozzarella. From a simple Margherita to a loaded Capriccioso, every pizza is baked fresh.
Pizza Tacos & Sandwiches
Our fried pizza tacos are something you won't find on every corner. Crispy, stuffed, and satisfying. We also do proper Italian-style sandwiches for when you want something quick but substantial.
Sides & Desserts
Gnocco fritto, fresh salads, dips, and our sweet cones filled with Nutella or Lotus Biscoff. Proper finishing touches, not afterthoughts.
Catering
We cater for parties, corporate events, and private gatherings across London. Get in touch and we'll put together a menu that works for your group and your budget.
